The 2023 Junior Chef Day Camp, co-presented by Grandma's Kitchen and I Love Phonics Tutoring, took place on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Ten kids between the ages of 6-11 participated in a plant-based junior chef day camp! Children attended a team meeting, prepared a plant-based 5 course meal alongside Mike and Casey Easterling of Grandma's Kitchen, learned to set a table, created place cards, served dinner to two guests, and more!

• Appetizer: Focaccia

• Soup: Cream of Tomato

• Salad: Garden Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette

• Entree with Sides: Macaroni & Cheese, Green Beans, and Mango & Avocado Salad

• Dessert: Chocolate and Vanilla Cupcakes

Agenda: 

• 9:50-10:00am: Arrival with long hair pulled back

• 10:00am-12:00pm: Team Meeting during Breakfast, Cooking & Baking

• 12:00-12:45pm: Snack followed by the creation of a centerpiece and place cards for their guests

• 12:45-2:30pm: Cook & Bake

• 2:30-3:30pm: Lunch featuring the children's food creations, Supervised outdoor play, and a Group Photo wearing Junior Chefs shirt and hat

• 3:30-5:00pm: Prepare for guests' arrival and enjoy a snack

• 5:00pm: Two guests per child arrive for a Five Course Dinner prepared and served by their child. (Note: Dinner will be served outside on Grandma's Kitchen's covered deck. In case of inclement weather, the day camp will conclude at 5:00pm and the children will receive a To Go meal for two.) If you would like to have more than two guests attend the dinner, additional tickets are available for $15.
